Thank you for your interest in our holiday rental "Portomarina VI". The protection of your personal data is important to us. Below we inform you about the data collected when you visit this website and how we handle it.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Christoph Pfeiffer
Flemingstraße 6
22299 Hamburg
Germany

Email: portomarinavi@gmail.com
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you access the website, Vercel processes, on our behalf, technically necessary data that your browser transmits automatically (see "Server log files"). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of our online offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Vercel.
Processing may also take place on servers in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, ensuring an adequate level of data protection.
3. General information and mandatory disclosures
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in your browser's address bar.
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Withdrawal of your consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out until withdrawal remains unaffected.
4. Data collection on this website
Server log files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are in particular:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- page or file accessed
- browser type and operating system used
- referrer URL
This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the technically error-free presentation and security of the website.
Cookies
Without your consent, our own pages do not set marketing or analytics cookies. Reach measurement is carried out cookielessly via Vercel Web Analytics (see "Web analytics"). Only if you consent via the cookie banner do we additionally use marketing and conversion tracking (Google Ads, Google Analytics), which may set cookies (see "Marketing and conversion tracking"). In addition, the booking page embeds a third-party booking widget that may set its own technically necessary cookies (see "Booking widget / channel manager").
Web analytics (Vercel Web Analytics)
For cookieless reach measurement we use Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.). No cookies are set and no cross-site tracking takes place. Page views are turned into anonymous, aggregated statistics; your IP address is not stored long-term and is not used to build user profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly performance measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Marketing and conversion tracking (Google Ads, Google Analytics)
To measure and optimise our online advertising we use – exclusively with your consent – Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Without your consent these services are not activated: via Google Consent Mode v2, storage is set to "denied" by default and is only enabled after you agree in the cookie banner.
With your consent, cookies are set that evaluate whether you reached the website via one of our ads and then carried out a specific action there (e.g. submitted a contact request or reached the booking page). This allows us to measure the success of our advertising. Processing may also take place on servers in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by changing your cookie selection via the banner or deleting the cookies set in your browser. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.
Contact form and getting in touch
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, phone number if given, and your message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation/performance of a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling your enquiry). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Delivery via Resend
To deliver the messages sent via the contact form we use the email service of Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). Resend processes the transmitted data on our behalf; a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place. Processing takes place in a data centre region within the European Union (Ireland). Further information can be found in Resend's privacy policy.
Notifications about available dates
If you sign up for notifications about available dates, we process your email address in order to let you know when new periods become bookable or something frees up at short notice, and to send you news about the house and direct-booking benefits. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give explicitly when signing up.
Sign-up uses a double opt-in procedure: after you enter your address, we send you an email containing a confirmation link. Only once you click it do we add you to the list. If you do not confirm, you will not receive any messages. This ensures the sign-up genuinely came from you.
You can unsubscribe at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every email, thereby withdrawing your consent. Your email address is stored until you unsubscribe.
Delivery via Brevo
To send these notifications we use the services of Sendinblue GmbH (Brevo), Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. Brevo processes the transmitted data on our behalf; a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place. Processing takes place within the European Union. Further information can be found in Brevo's privacy policy.
Booking widget / channel manager (Fewo-Verwalter)
On the "Booking" page we embed a booking and availability widget of the channel manager Fewo-Verwalter (fewo-channelmanager.de) as an iframe. When you open this page, a connection to the provider's servers is established; in doing so your IP address is transmitted to the provider, and technically necessary cookies required for the booking process may be set. If you submit a booking request, the provider processes the data you enter (e.g. name, contact details, travel dates) in order to handle the booking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation/performance of the rental contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (efficient handling of bookings). For details, please refer to the provider's privacy policy.
Fonts and images
This website uses fonts and images stored locally on the server. When the page is rendered, no connection is established to third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts) – except for the booking widget mentioned above.
